We will  have NRA Certified Instructors that also participate in the sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting to coach you through the best way to combine handling a pistol while negotiating a course.

We will give an overview of the different types of firearms/holsters and also possible tack for your animals to make them comfortable so they will have as much fun as you are.

We work with you & your horse to make certain that you will get the most out of the sport and have FUN.

We will supply all the ammunition (NO exceptions), bring your own guns .45 LC or we will have plenty that you can borrow.

New Shooters clinic

The best way we have found to get introduced into the sport is a clinic like ours, or click here to get in contact with a CMSA Pro Horseman in Co !

Like many other sports, Cowboy Mounted Shooting has many aspects that require a solid start in order to be successful!

The New Shooter's Clinic is specifically designed to encourage the relationship between horse and rider.

The clinic is normally limited to 20-30 students, to ensure we have enough time to work with everyone on a one on one basis, and make sure you and your horse have a successful clinic.

21 Dates will be posted once/if confirmed, if interested fill out a Clinic Interest Form & email it to the secretary at coregulators@gmail.com.

Normal cost is $175 we will have the guns, holsters, ammo, instruction, support, arena are provided, just bring the horse and saddle!

The clinic is designed to have you familiar with shooting a .45, answering questions, and going over what you need to know.  We also focus on getting the horse desensitized to shooting as safely as possible. Please bring lunch and water for you and your horse!
